The Brain and its Behavior
As I was looking over all the Ted talks that we were asked to watch and the one that really stuck out to me was the video that Mehdi Ordikhani-Seyedlar did over how ADHD and how it affect the human brain. I found it really interesting considering the circumstances that my family was put in with my little brother
When my brother was 5 we started to notice that something wasn't right. He was slower to develop some of the basic skills that all the other 5 year olds could do such as writing and just comprehending what was going on during the school day. I was only 11 when this started to make itself known that something just wasn't right.

I enjoyed your response to the TED talk video. It's absolutely great that you made a real connection with it and maybe helped you to better understand your life and better understand your younger brother. :)
ReplyDeleteAlayna,
ReplyDeleteI am glad that that ADHD is treatable and I hope your brother is doing well. Did your brother get diagnosed with ADHD? I read an article that stated that 20-30% of children that have ADHD also have a learning disability. ADHD is not considered a learning disability. Children with ADHD have symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. I am glad you were able to relate to the Ted talk and learn more about how ADHD affects the human brain.
